AIR CONDITIONING
Farwest Climate Control offers air conditioners from 13 to 18 SEER ratings. A SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) is a measure of efficiency for air conditioners, they are like miles per gallon in cars-the higher the rating, the more energy efficient and the more money you save. All of our systems satisfy or exceed minimum government SEER standards.
An 18 SEER is the ultimate air conditioner. It comes with an all-aluminum coil which provides very low airflow resistance and greater heat transfer capabilities, resulting in higher efficiency. The 18 SEER also has a quiet variable speed fan motor that varies in speed based on your cooling requirements. It has dual compressors, a small one to handle your daily needs and a larger one that takes over on the hottest of days.
The 16 SEER has a two-step single compressor, that provides two stages of cooling.
The 16 down to the 13 SEER models all have a single-speed fan motor and single-row coils made up of thousands of tiny spines to give more surface area and thus greater heat transfer.
All models include steel louvered panels to protect the coil from outside elements, a corrosion-resistant finish, a basepan that will not crack, warp, corrode or rust, a recessed fan grille to protect your family from moving parts, and compressor sound insulators to reduce noise.
At Farwest Climate Control we can answer all your questions on these different models and discuss what model would be best for your home's comfort needs.
